From our home office in Houston, Texas we supply skilled craftsmen to your jobsite who are capable of meeting or exceeding your exact specifications.  We routinely work with third party inspection companies who certify our installers' abilities through pre qualification testing.  In addition, our welders are tested to Section IX of the ASME Boiler And Pressure Vessel Code.

Gulf Coast Gunite is not owned by, nor do we own, any material manufacturing or distribution company.  Our company is recognized as an approved "Contractor / Installer" by every major refractory material manufacturer in the nation, a rating which is limited to very few contractors.  As such, we enjoy "best-bracket" pricing on the materials that we install, providing additional cost savings to our customers.  Our independent status allows us to perform unbiased evaluations of the products that we have installed over the years.  This enables us to submit lining recommendations to our customers which are the most cost effective, recognizing that cost effectiveness includes not only the price of the material, but also the product's expected service life, it's ability to consistently meet it's physical properties, ease of installation, and availability.  Our customers are comfortable in the knowledge that the products which we install in their units are selected with their best interest in mind.

In addition to refractory installations, our personnel are available to provide inspections and repair recommendations at no charge to our customers.

Our crews are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  We can be contacted at any time through the numbers listed on our contacts page, or by calling (713) 477-0466.

We install lightweight and dense fireproofing systems to structural steel and equipment supports in the shop and at the jobsite.

For new construction, we offer shop applied fireproofing, field applied fireproofing, or both.  Structural steel members and equipment supports can be partially fireproofed at our shop, leaving the field connections bare.  The field connections are fireproofed at the jobsite after erection.  This combination offers significant cost savings and less manpower required to complete the work after erection, reducing congestion at the jobsite.

For field applied fireproofing and structural repairs, we have the expertise to offer you turn-key construction.  Our crews can perform the scaffolding, demolition of existing linings (including abatement work), abrasive blasting, painting, and installation of the new fireproofing system.  Our attention to detail and meticulous housekeeping combine to produce a cosmetically appealing finished product which will provide years of maintenance-free service.

We install lightweight systems as well as dense concrete fireproofing.  We provide first time installations, as well as restoration of deteriorated or fire damaged systems.  We provide a superior design for lightweight fireproofing systems which offers increased protection against moisture encroachment, the leading cause of lightweight fireproofing system degradation.

Please feel free to contact us so that we can discuss the specific requirements of your project.  Whether you're in the planning stage or ready to build, we welcome the opportunity to assist you with system recommendations,  cost estimates, and schedules

We offer personnel trained and certified for Class II Asbestos Abatement Work including Asbestos Inspector, Asbestos Superintendent, Asbestos Competent Person, and Asbestos Worker.  This capability, combined with our scaffold building and welding expertise, allows us to provide a complete "turn-key" installation to our customers without having to outsource additional subcontractors at the project.  This eliminates redundant overhead costs, reduces congestion at the jobsite, and provides "sole source" responsibilities to the owner.  All work is performed in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

We offer a full range of labor services including Confined Space Entry Attendants, Safety Supervisors, Scaffold Builders, Welders, and Support Labor. Our excellent safety record and competitive labor rates can help make your turnaround a success.

We specialize in formless concrete placement to sloped, vertical, and overhead applications. We install linings to reservoirs, ditches, sumps, pits, basements, retaining walls, and any other surfaces where high strength concrete is required in hard-to-get-to areas.

For structural preservation and restoration, gun applied structural repair concrete offers a cost effective solution to more expensive methods.

We offer dry-gun applications, wet-gun applications, and concrete pumping services.
